B. Body. 

This image symbolizes the basic human form. This was the first painting I created for the Inner Alphabet book and it defined the style for the rest of the illustrations. 

D. Difficult.

Kids need help and so do parents. Children can learn to  be of service by offering help to their parents.

K. Kindness.

When my niece offered me some of her green apple, I was reminded that children are innately kind.

M. Meditation.

A child is enveloped by light in the shape of a blossoming flower.

N. No.

Children can develop discernment - when to say 'yes' and when to say 'no'. 

T. Talent.

A child in a wheelchair is practicing to play the trumpet.  The passing of time is depicted by the change in seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter) and the child's practice time is depicted by the clock. 3:00 sharp! The child is achieving mastery through commitment and self-belief.
